I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies

Everyone around me is pregnant or with newborns.

I'm not even exaggerating.

I'm going AZ (inshallah) in two weeks and three of the five of us are pregnant.

I am not one of the three, by the way. In case you were wondering.

I just found out yesterday that my friend had her baby on leap day. MashAllah. I know five more muslimahs from my masjid who are in the family way and going to pop pretty soon inshAllah.

My bestest friend Muslimah Lotus has a bun in her oven too, mashAllah.

Shushu who got married a month after me is also awaiting the stork.

As well as about 5 women who work here in the clinic, and one doctor who is out today giving birth.

I'm not sure, but whatever water they drank from did not fill my cup. (Mariah: high five- no babies!!)

During lunch the topic of the day in the break room was labor and epidurals. Old moms were telling new moms what to expect and exchanging horror labor stories.

And me, well, I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies.

Is it just me or is EVERYONE pregnant?

My husband as a baby, mashAllah, as I threatened him promised.

Don't let the mommies out there scare you with their horror stories! And mommies just keep the horror stories to yourself!!!LOL I think what you expect in the birthing process plays a large roll in how it goes for you. Most women (if left alone) will get through it just fine. I could rant here about how Drs screw things for laboring women... But I will repress. When you are actually pregnant I promise you books... Just e-mail me and I will bombard you with required reading;) I have four and I have enjoyed every minute of it every time, masha'Allah. Even the things I thought were bad are quickly forgotten. You know I am ready to do it again someday once we get these projects we have going completed;)

what kind of food do u and your mom like? do you have any special plans when you come here?

Molly said...

omg I'm so excited to be with you guyses.

Uh, no particular food restrictions. Less sugar and more protein for my mom since her surgey. But neither of us are picky.

I'm sooooooooo excited.

Mom's got plans for golfing, I have a couple of people I want to visit, but we're renting a car so we shouldn't be to be driven anywhere. I keep missing my mom to ask her the stats on the flight but I rpmise *scouts honor* to get that to you tonight.

I'm sooooooooooooooooooooo excited care-bear!!!

Seriously...everyone is pregnant huh? I was just thinking about that the other day. I'm always begging Yasir for a baby but we both know it's not the best time for us right now...allahu alim. You and I will just have to trail behind and maybe by coincidence we'll have some little ones at the same time :D

Molly said...

omg that would be AWESOME!

inshAllah. :D

all of our babies can pay together, maybe get married to each other and make a whole bushel of multiracial babies. :D

inshAllah.
