Reading on the Royal Jordanian website it lists the Audio channels (the radio stations you can listen to during the flight) and one caught my eye:
Channel 9 Holy Quran
Word up. I'm so excited to fly a "Muslim" Airline. Think I can make it through the whole Quran on a 12 hour flight?

masha'allah thats soo cool, I cant wait to try a 'muslim' airline. Maybe to dubai or somewhere funky :D
nope... 1 hr aprox 2 paras - you will get past surah yasin.
I just seen a Royal Jordanian airplane sitting at the gate when I was leaving Michigan :)
LOL, I was laughing at that. You'll only make it through The Qur'an if you fast forward it.
Imagine Salat at-Taraweh, you go the entire month of Ramadan, for an hour or more at a time.
you're tagged...:)
See, I told my husband we should fly Royal Jordanian. He was, like, "No, Lufthansa is cheaper." I just told him what you said, and he said, "Well...maybe we can fly RJ."
Yeah, I was a little overly optomistic on the getting through the whole Quran.
The fact of the matter is that Channel 8 Fairouziat is a channel that I assume is devoted to Fairouz and as such deserves some attention as well.
Comes in second to the Holy Quran in listening pleasure.
Amie ha! Lufthansa is a great airline, their airbuses are phenomenal, it was the first time I actually had to descend a stairway to get to the restrooms which were GRANDIOSE compared to any other plane I had been on. I mean like enough room to turn around and not bump into things. It was great. So, Lufthansa is not a bad way to go. I will give you the lowdown on RJ once I've flown with them.
One day, one day I will have enough money to fly in the luxury class inshAllah. At that point I'll fly Singapore Airlines

I just don't know what I'm going to do with myself on a 12 hour flight.
Another link to see the opulence that is Singapore Air

Salaams Molly:
I'm sooo excited for you! It's getting closer and closer!!!!!!
Good luck.........and you know we expect lots of pictures!
May you have a safe and easy flight and journey. Ameen.
I flew Egypt Air once and some other Arab line once, mashaAllah, I can't remember what it was....maybe Royal Jordinian...what was cool is that there were a lot of people in hijab (including flight attendants), some in niqab, you could listen to Qur'an, AND - the pilot made the dua' for travel before he took off! MashaAllah. It also felt great to be able to pray and not have people looking at you funny (or feel like they were). MashaAllah.
'Course, Lufthansa was good b/c every seat had their own screen!
In any case, have a safe & easy trip, and as everyone has said, we look forward to hearing from you & seeing pictures!
love you for the sake of Allah & have a wonderful time!
